It is basically the summer version of the Burgundy truffle.
Basically rounded in shape, on the outside it is opaque black with very voluminous and protruding warts.
The gleba is pale hazelnut to dark hazelnut depending on the degree of maturation with light veins.
The summer truffle exudes a delicate fragrance, less intense than the prized Black variety and certainly the White variety.
Therefore, we can place it in third place in a scale of values after white and precious black.
