It's the most important and tasty black truffle.
In Italy is called Prized black truffle from Norcia and Spoleto (two historci Umbrian towns); in France it is called Scams of Perigord.
It has perideum globose in loose soils or irregular in stony soils, blackish-brown, initially reddish, warted; the gleba is grayish at first becoming purplish-black at maturity, marbled with white veins.
